'Tis the Season for Christmas Weddings
Christmas is the time when family and friends naturally come together to celebrate love and hope. If you are
thinking about tying the knot you may want to consider a Christmas time wedding. There are many great holiday
gatherings during the winter months to brighten up people’s lives and your wedding is a great reason to have a
party. You may have some obstacles to overcome if you are planning a wedding during the busy holiday season but it
will not be anything you cannot handle. If wedding planning becomes too much just sit back with a cup of cocoa and

Throwing a Christmas wedding is a great thing logistically. People get more freedom to take time off of work during
the holidays from most jobs. If you are having your wedding on a holiday weekend it may be more likely that more
people will be able to come since they will be able to get away from their job for a long weekend without too much
trouble. A good tip if you do decide to have a Christmas wedding is to send out save the date cards at least four
months in advance. People make plans around the holidays and if your wedding is an event that you would like them
to attend then you should give them advance notice so that they do not make other plans and have to miss your big

Having a Christmas wedding is a great time for family to get together. If you have family that is spread out across
the country then chances are you all have not seen each other in many years and what better then a wedding to bring
people back together. Plan your wedding for a weekend in between Thanksgiving and Christmas and your family will
truly have a reason to celebrate as they are coming together for love. You will be not only throwing a wedding but
a family reunion as well.
Something to investigate when you are planning a Christmas wedding is if there are any conflicts with the church.
If you wish to be married in a church talk to your Priest or Deacon early so that they can let you know of any
special events that will be happening during the Advent season. You should be able to have your wedding during this
time but be aware that there may be time constrictions.
When you are having a Christmas wedding you will be able to plan a reception during prime decorating season. The
holidays are full of ideas for how to decorate your reception hall and how to set up guest favors and what fun
music you will be able to take advantage of. There is no more perfect a season to play Little Drummer Boy then
during the Christmas season. A Christmas wedding will allow you the ability to have fun when decorating and will
let you take the inspiration from your favorite childhood memories of your favorite day and incorporate them into
your big day. If you wanted for your Christmas wedding you could even have a Christmas tree set up at your
venue.
