Quaint Inn or Bed and Breakfast
Perfect for an Intimate Winter Wedding
Locale
As you start planning your wedding, you may have a very
definite idea about what you want. You may have spent months or
even years planning the perfect wedding in your mind. Now that
you are engaged, it is time to plan your wedding of your
dreams. Some brides love the idea of planning spring and summer
weddings, while others love the idea of having a winter
wedding. If you are a bride-to-be that wants to have a winter
wedding then you might want to consider holding your wedding at
a small and intimate inn or bed and breakfast.
Before you get too far in your wedding plans, the first thing
you will want to consider is your budget and the amount of
people you feel like you need to invite. A small bed and
breakfast or inn may not be the right choice for you if you are
looking to invite hundreds of people. These locations are best
suited for couples that want to invite only a handful of
people. However, if you do feel like you want to invite a lot
of people, you do have some options. First of all, you can hold
your actual wedding at the small inn with a handful of people
with you and then host a large reception for everyone else. Or,
you might want to consider having your wedding at a large
location and then taking your honeymoon at the bed and
breakfast or inn.
If you do decide that the bed and breakfast or inn is right for
you, then you will want to start looking as soon as you can.
Many of these quaint places do fill up rather quickly, so call
a few months ahead and get your event on the calendar. If you
do not plan ahead, you may be out of luck for your
wedding.
When choosing a bed and breakfast or inn for your wedding,
there are several factors to consider. First of all, you will
want to go look at the venues and find out what they owner can
offer you for your wedding. Are they willing to allow you to
have a wedding at their location? Many of these locations are
privately owned and some may not be equipped for such an event.
When you look at these events, check out the property and make
sure that the place will be clean and decorated to your taste.
You might even want to consider looking at whether or not your
wedding can be held outside. Maybe they have a nice porch or a
gazebo on the property. The owners may allow you to decorate
the area beforehand, or they may choose to do this
themselves.
Another consideration you should make is the reception.
Depending on how big your wedding party is, you may want to
make sure there is enough room for a wedding reception. The
owners may want to provide catering for your wedding and if so,
this is a good thing for you. They may be able to provide a
cake and even a delicious meal for you and your guest.
The last thing you will want to do is to check your budget. If
you have a small budget, then your intimate wedding will be the
way to go. You can plan a small event and stay within your
budget quite easily. The larger your wedding is, the more money
you will need to spend. Take a good, hard look at the budget
before you plan and make sure the inn owners know how much you
are willing to spend.
A small intimate place is often the place to go when you want a
small wedding.
